Best Beginning! (Ends March 25th)

Do you have a good first chapter or prologue to a story? Post it here, and I will review and find a winner! This is for the best beginning of a story--not just a short story!

I will have first and second place winners, and I will give each a critique on their contest entry.

Rules: Post a link to your story in this topic. Stories MUST be on POP. Any genre allowed--but no storybook beginnings. No artwork, unless it's a graphic novel beginning. NO R-rated stories, I will read anything that is rated G, PG, or PG-13. This contest will end March 25th, which is when I will read the stories. ONLY ONE ENTRY ALLOWED.

The Immortals was good! Although I will admit that I liked #12 better than #1... and a few others. Still, they all get a gold star in my book.

I think I improved along the way... I might use this as a chance to rewirte my chapter one! Hehe!

Well I have a beginning of a story I'm writing, I'm almost 1/4 the way through at the moment and the beginning is really short, about 1000 words. I find it better that I do the rest of the story firs tthen come back to the beginning while I'm revising my work. I admit its not very good but unfortunetly its the best I have at present

Most forums I go to I get flamed / suspended / banned without permission of posting something big or sometimes posting at all my opinions or thoughts or basically anything that involves me speaking
