Papier Newsletter?

Post by Mark on Thu Mar 06, 2008 7:37 pm

That's right! POP newsletter!

The idea, is that I (or/and other members) compile a newsletter each month and send it to everyone through the email you have signed up with on this forum. It will be sent as a PDF file in the email as an attatchment, and if you don't have flash player 8+, you can download it cost and virus free:

Here

Any ideas please post.

We only have one problem.
I don't know how to make PDFs. I will work it out!

Hey Mark, here's an idea. What if every month, or every other month, you have one featured story, and you include the title in the newsletter, as well as a link?

That's all I have right now...

Yeah, good idea.

Also, you could announce any new contest winners there.

Re: Papier Newsletter?

Theres actually quite a bit that could go into a newsletter, sounds weird but I worked as a reporter for a newsletter a guild of mine were making on a game and we got through, although the editor hasn't returned yet to continue them as she is busy with some serious studying. I'll be returning to it around November so I'll be able to find out what they've done.

Anyway theres lots of things you can include. Writing news, extracts of stories, the odd bit of poetry, maybe an article from another source that we should read up on, day in the life of the author for example, the list goes on. It doesn't have to be that long too, 1 or 2 sides would be enough so don't stress yourself with the work Smile

Oh, of course not! (Actually, I could be like, offic-i-al journalist, and I'll interview Mark, the admin! Brilliantness!

Holy crap, brilliantness is a word. XD

Either that, or Mark can interview me, the first person on the site!

*Clock ticks*

So... which is it?

(If you tell me, Mark, I'll create an interview for you and PM it to you...)

Wow, that is an excellent idea, Mark. But, of course, don't overdo yourself. We don't want an administrator dead anytime soon.

There could also be an advise corner. Writer's could write in asking for stuff from a good title to dealing with writer's block. I could volunteer to do that...

I hope you know what you're talking about Telana_kiarr, some topics such as writers block are difficult to solve and you may find some problems but nothing I sure you cannot solve.

I could do the art and photography for the newspaper if I could learn how to use it. Cause I can't put anything up there.

Don't doubt her! She has saved my skin from the perils of Writers Block a million times; besides if she needs help I would certainly volunteer to do it... Mark, we could even do something with the zodiac, the weather for the week; you know stuff like that. I'd be glad to do the zodiac if you think its cool. Very Happy
