Shadow of the Hegemon, by Orson Scott Card is my favorite right now, I think. Brilliantly written... trust me, Scott Card is a genius. (How else can you write a logic-filled book about geniuses????)

Right now I'm reading Sherlock Holmes: Hound of the Baskervilles, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Also very good and definitely brilliant.

My favorite book? Hm... didn't I make a topic on this earlier? Or was that on the old forums? Anyway, I just finished Psycho by Robert Bloch, and it was fantastic. It was made into an old movie (black and white) and then redone.

It was brilliant.

But, The Golden Compass really was great too. I'm not quite done with it - about two/thirds the way through.

BBB, you did make a forum for this, but all the threads were deleted when the forum was changed, I believe.

Yeah HP is good I've only read the 1st, 3rd, 4th and half way through the 5th but I got bored half way through it and I think its altered my decision to read any more as they may turn out the same, I don't mind reading long books as long as they don't weigh you down too much. It may sound immoral to the reading community but I'd rather watch the films from now on, seeing as I'm so late in the proceedings it may be easier by the time I get though the 5th book and the rest.

HP 7 is my favorite Harry Potter book. I like the Lord of the Rings, although those took me a while because of the wording. I like to read EU Star Wars books. My sister just laughs at me when I get those at the library. Basically any really good fantasy book, I'll read.

I liked six the best. I own the entire series, with the last three in hardcover.
