Rothorn (G)

What do you think? It isn't great.

Very nice, Mark. I really like it. Although... it's kinda 2-Dish... Um...
I'm not good with art. But still, I took an art class this year... I know that you can't change the picture because it's finished, but you know. I think the hind leg is too.. um... fat. Not fat. Just... too round. And I would suggest making the horse a bit fatter...
Gah. I wish I could comment.

Oh yeah. Great job!

Re: Rothorn
I like your picture, better than I could do. Out of curiosity, can we post "homemade" icons on here? I have made some, and I really want to post them somewhere where people will look at them. I credit at my livejournal, but I can credit here if needs be.
Re: Rothorn (G)
Go ahead and post it, telana_kiarr. We need more things to critique on this, anyway.

Mark, I find that the body is good and the tail is good. You said already that the mane wasn't perfect, and I'm afraid that I have to agree.
Your legs are good, but the one that is shown farther back is too thin at the top and too thick at the bottom.
Other than that, it's great! I have never been able to draw, but horses are very complex, and you did a good job on it.
Although it might be a little 2D.
Good job!

Thanks for the crits everyone. I don't think it is great, but writing novels can really get me stressed out sometimes.
I had some trouble like this at first. Click, 'New Topic'. Then, look up there ^. Click 'Host an Image'. Find it obn your computer and click upload.
Okay, I tried to upload it from my computer, but it's not working. Any suggestions?

The neck is a little on the thin side, don't cha think? Also, from the lines left over from the eraser, it looks like you had a good head size before, you would just need to adjust the neck a bit to fit it. Also, it might just be me, but it looks like the body of the horse is too long.

Actually, I need a review on Reaper's Song #2--but I haven't posted it here yet.

Re: Rothorn (G)
It's a good horse from where I'm standing. Although I stand by previous comments, don't be disheartened though, everything is art, no matter how good or bad it is, everything is different and that creates individualism. But, if you want to create a more accurate horse I suggest getting a picture of a horse and some tracing paper, once you get the feel of drawing it you'll be able to draw them more successfully. I've never been able to draw horses and its one of the things that I want to draw. It's funny, I can draw all the things I don't really like drawing like flowers and rocks and stuff, but never people or landscapes or living creatures. However I was quite pleased with a picture of Durzea I drew with him on his horse, I think I managed to get away with it for the most part, there was lots of cloth over it, only hard part I find to a horse is its legs and the shape of the head.
